DuckDuckGo, the privacy company behind the DuckDuckGo browser, search engine and Duck.ai, is hiring a Senior C++ Engineer for its C++ functional team. You'll write the high-performance modern C++ and Chromium code at the core of the DuckDuckGo browser, on projects such as fast tracker blocking, bringing VPN and Personal Information Removal into the browser, and automatically catching startup and responsiveness regressions, leading work from proposal through post-mortem. Needs 7+ years of software engineering, advanced modern C++ (C++23 or newer), and experience with large C++ codebases and consumer software; browser, game engine or Windows experience is a bonus. Fully remote in 33 listed countries including the UK, Ireland, much of Europe and the US. Salary $178,500 plus stock options, the same for everyone at the same level and region. Full-time.
